Blogger Spotlight: Just For The Little One

I discovered Alisha’s blog a few months ago and recommended it to my mom. She just had another baby in May and was freaking out about learning everything all over again. She fell in love with Alisha’s blog and has started reading other mommy blogs from the blog roll as well. I love that Alisha is inspiring women with her blog so I wanted to do a little feature on her.

Why did you decide to start a mommy blog?

After my second child I purchased a journal to write down all my experiences as a mother (the good, bad and everything in between.) It inspired me to start my blog as a way of documenting and sharing my motherhood experiences with others.

How long have you been blogging?

It’s been a little less than a year.

What has been the biggest surprise about blogging so far?

There is a lot that I am still learning about blogging, but the biggest surprise for me so far is how much time and energy blogging requires. When I first created my blog I had no clue what I was getting myself into but now I am starting to get the hang of it all.

What did you hope to gain from blogging?

When writing a post I hope to create content that readers find useful and inspiring. I want to continue learning about blogging and making changes to my blog.

Tell us a little about your children?

Marcus and Hunter are my two boys that I’ve been blessed with. Marcus is my first born and is 6 years old. He is a high energy, smart, loving, creative and very determined boy. His favorite thing to do is read and he has gotten a few awards at school for reading that he’s very proud of. Hunter is my 2 year old who was born in December. He is highly communicative, independent and loves giving hugs and kisses. He is full of energy just like his big brother.

What is the best part about motherhood in your opinion?

Motherhood is the best and most challenging thing I have ever experienced. It can be filled with so many amazing moments and emotions. For me one of the best things about being a mom is the unconditional love and excitement  that you get from your child. Something as simple as a hug can bring so much joy. I have to say my kids changed my life in many ways and for that I am very thankful.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.

I have an obsession with the movie Bad Boys with Will Smith. You can say it is my favorite movie and I can never get enough of it.

Alisha is a 26 year old wife and mother living in NYC. She recently started a small business called Rubybliss Designs. She is a DIY lover which inspired her to start designing and making hair accessories for girls and woman. Her husband is also an inspiration because of the way he continues to support her in every way.
